Can Papiol is much more than a house, it is the symbol of a whole family. Behind its austere neoclassical facade, there are hiding lounges decorated with luxurious details that once welcomed the flower and cream of the local high society.
The Romantic Museum Casa Papiol is a house-museum that evokes the daily life of a wealthy 19th-century family. Built at the end of the 18th century by Francesc de Papiol and Padró, son of one of the most influential families of Vilanova, it is neoclassical and conserves the original structure and distribution. The furniture and accessories are from the nineteenth century or earlier. Among the most interesting rooms are the library, the hall, the music room, the sumptuous dance hall, the chapel, the romantic garden and the rooms of the unit.
